From high-rise apartments to row housing and villas PMK’s designs have holistically addressed the needs of the developer to end users to give a balanced solution with a strong emphasis on higher efficiency planning. Master plans of such multi-housing developments have been handled smartly adding value of community living and infrastructure maintenance. Aesthetics have always played a major role in the overall outcomes of the projects. Landscape, streetscape, community infrastructure and planning for tomorrow have been our strengths when it comes to multi-housing. In high rise buildings utility management and parking also have been dealt with a lot of care without compromising the longevity of such utilities where the end-users eventually end up managing the property. Handicap accessibility, children play areas and senior citizen needs are addressed in a safe and sensitive manner. Finally, PMK’s commitment to sustainable architecture and living in such large scale developments has yielded better results than anticipated.
At PMK residential projects take a special priority due to the various challenges they pose in terms of long wish lists and ever shrinking plot sizes. Every house we design is in the end a home for the client that shall draw them closer to their hearts. It takes special importance due to the hopes, aspirations and the trust every client pins on us be it someone’s first home, renovation due to a growing family or simply a leisure home. In many instances it all starts with awareness talk to educate the client on the purpose and value of having an architect on board. Clients are today increasingly aware of what they want and experience in their homes. Hence today the designs are more a collaborative outcome from idea exchanges. PMK takes up a residential project to deliver smarter and unique solutions keeping in mind the quality of spaces. Daylight, natural ventilation, free flowing spaces, maintenance- friendly, privacy and most importantly VAASTU principles are never compromised. The design principles that we adopt have many green design solutions in all the homes right from planning to usage of green building products. Today green homes are the need of the hour and clients are fully aware of sustainable living. At the end every project is a complex design exercise to exceed the initial goals set. A long-lasting relationship with the client is the most logical outcome.

BIM summit is typically held every year specifically for Indian context covering various topics that this system impacts architecture and related services towards a successful project execution and beyond. The value of information percolated to various levels of project execution is seamlessly integrated and demonstrated using BIM strategy and software. In 2012 I was invited as a speaker to talk and present how Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and BIM go hand in hand to achieve the desired results. Today’s technological advancements have made communication simpler and effective using various collaborative tools. With communication comes accountability and performance. The presentation link below is mostly self-explanatory and gives more information on this topic of IPD and BIM.
